Another winner from the Terrien mixed chardonnay case. Relatively speaking I rate this a little lower than some of the others but they’re all really good and I can’t believe these are 10+ year old CA chardonnay.

Nose of lemon curd, white flowers. Creamy palate, with more lemon curd, hints of tropical fruits, and a slightly bitter but nevertheless pleasant medium to long finish. This is quite good though a bit too typical oaky CA Chardonnay for me. Having said that I enjoy drinking it. These seem to sit on a nice middle ground for me. So far the 2012 is the standout. But what a pleasure to try a series of aged Chardonnay’s. At 12 years this is not over the hill at all. And perhaps it may still improve. PnP. Grassl liberte.

Very nice, well-balanced, smooth, compelling. Burgundy-like. But not up to the 2007, didn’t have the cut or quite the precision.
